VP of Travel Sales

MUST HAVE CORPORATE TRAVEL EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED

A leader in modern travel management services and innovative technology solutions are looking to hire a VP of Sales to help double our growth and expand our market presence in North American.  Travel is expected to be 50% and the compensation associated with this position is competitive with the market and will be decided during the interview process based of skills and experience.

GOALS

  • Expand, manage, coach and lead a team of 5-8 salespeople under goals
  • Build rapport and open doors with targeted prospects
  • Player/coach with individual sales goal
  • Increase market share North America market share by 30% by the year 2019
  • Drive $200 million of new gross revenue over the first complete fiscal year
  • Responsible for overall sales growth of 100% for the team

 

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
  • Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement
  • Manage the sales team to deliver profitable growth
  • Become known as an employer of choice and a sales force that top sales people want to join
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
  • Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and reporting
  • Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions from SalesForce
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions
  • Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful support, channel and partner programs
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
  • Deliver to individual contribution targets

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Successful experience selling technology, services and consulting services to Procurement, Human Resources, Finance and C-level groups
  • Successful experience closing small/midmarket and start-up companies
  • Successful experience managing a team of 5 + salespeople
  • Successful experience utilizing a CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing opportunities 
  • Successful experience hiring and onboarding sales people
  • Successful experience building and managing a territory
  • Experience providing status reports with market and customer feedback to the corporate leadership team
  • Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership and leadership collaboration

  • Ability to accurately forecast future sales volumes and track pipeline
